WHY HYPNOBIRTHING

Because it works, it's that simple. The course combines so many tools and tricks, that it is very hard to find a person that would step out of the course without finding at least few that would stick. My role is to present to you the opportunities, and find the ways to incorporate what you like most in your daily routine. This way when you find yourself on that special day, you know exactly what to do, feel more at ease, in charge, and totally ready to meet your baby.

 

There is no magic or big secrets revealed, it is about bringing out what is already in you, but sometimes we simply need that bit of help to start seeing it ourselves.

The HypnoBirthing philosophy is based on the belief that a healthy woman carrying a healthy baby and having a healthy pregnancy, who is properly prepared, is able to have a comfortable and gentle birthing. Through a well-thought-out program of deep relaxation, self-hypnosis, special breathing techniques, visualization, affirmations, and education, HypnoBirthing returns to a woman the art of birthing in a way that allows her to summon her natural birthing instincts and to birth her baby in safety and with ease.

THE ADVANTAGES OF HYPNOBIRTHING

The advantages of HypnoBirthing®:

  • Eliminates the Fear-Tension-Pain Syndrome before, during and after birthing

  • Reduces, often eliminates, the need for chemical anesthesia, episiotomy and other interventions

  • Lessens fatigue during labor, leaving the mother fresh, awake, and energized as she brings her baby into the world

  • Shortens the thinning and opening phase of labor by hours and allows the birthing mother to utilize the natural pulsations of her body to breathe her baby down to the crowning stage, rather than pushing for a long, exhausting period (reduces risk of pelvic floor damage)

  • The birthing companion is an integral part of the birthing, not an onlooker

  • Babies are better adjusted and happier, resulting in better eating and sleeping routines

  • Brings mother, baby and birthing companion together in a wonderful bonding experience

WHAT TO EXPECT & FOR WHO

The course consists of 5 weekly sessions, covering the topics of:

  • Deep relaxation

  • Special breathing techniques for labor

  • Self-hypnosis

  • Massage techniques

  • Visualizations

  • Affirmations

  • and education that supports you throughout the whole pregnancy and are there to use during labor and birth.

  • Poses to relieve sensations during labor

  • Poses to relieve common pregnancy pains

  • Positions for birthing

  • Partner Practices to support you during labor and birth

This course also offers the opportunity to prepare an individualized birth plan in preparation for birth.

How HypnoBirthing® classes are taught?

  • The course consists of 5 live sessions, each 2-2,5 hour long

  • The classes are spread week apart to allow for integrating new techniques in every day life, and to be able to deepen the practice while preparing for labor

  • The course is meant for a mother to-be and her birthing companion(s), and the price of the course covers both (all) 
     

When can you start the course?

  • As early in your pregnancy as you wish. The tools which you learn will benefit your entire pregnancy, not only your labor. If you do decide to go for an early start, of the course we can also plan for a recap class closer to your 'due month' 

  • Not later than 5 weeks before your due month to allow for 5 sessions, one every week

  • 5 live sessions via Zoom  2-2,5 hour each

  • HypnoBirthing relaxation audio tracks & handouts

  • Possibility to always reach out with any questions during and after attending the course to the teacher and to the Mamamoon team

The 5 online weekly classes of 2-2,5 hour are happening live starting Monday October 25th, at 7.30PM CET (Amsterdam Time zone).

What you will need:

  • Comfortable clothes & open mind :)

  • A great advantage is also to start prereading the book of Marie Mongan. 

  • And for some classes also a sitting ball, yoga mat, chair and a piece of empty wall. You will receive an email before every class with what to prepare, so no need to plan all upfront.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Veronika has always been interested in how the mind works, how we can influence our minds, and how the mind effects our bodies, our beliefs, and our behaviors. After finishing a Bachelor I Psychology, Veronika got pregnant with her first child and was introduced to Hypnobirthing for the first time. While preparing for her birth with Hypnobirthing, she learned more about the mind-body connection, what happens in the body during labor and birth, and how, as expecting parents, we can benefit this natural process by working with our minds and our bodies, educating ourselves, and making informed decisions. This is also when her passion for childbirth really kicked off.

​

After having experienced two beautiful and empowering births herself, she decided to start teaching Hypnobirthing herself, with the goal to provide more parents with education and tools that can help them prepare for and influence their own birth experiences in a positive manner.

 

Veronika does not want to limit herself to helping parents prepare for birth, she wants to be able to offer her continuous support and guidance on this special journey through pregnancy, labour, birth and beyond. So she decided to deep dive further into the birth world and started studying to be a doula. She is now a doula in training, and offers her support as such to expecting parents.

 

Veronika and Kasia first met when Veronika during her second pregnancy started attending Kasia’s prenatal yoga classes. They soon discovered they have a common passion for childbirth and specifically for Hypnobirthing.
