ANNE HERMANS

A yoga teacher, Ayurveda practitioner, and a genuinely nice person easy to make friends with

Anne slowly started her Yoga journey at the age of 22 in the Netherlands. While living a hectic life and working in Amsterdam’s fashion scene, Yoga was the only time of balance and quietness. What she thought would be a few months of traveling turned into years of living abroad and developing a completely new lifestyle.

The first year she lived in Vietnam Anne spent a lot of time at the Sivananda Yoga ashram to practice and learn about Yoga. She never felt so good, so peaceful and so balanced.

After her first Ayurvedic Hatha Yoga teacher training with Yoga Veda she opened a small Yoga studio in Saigon and started teaching weekend and week retreats. From Vietnam she moved to Mexico to teach in Yoga Veda’s teacher training. A broken knee brought her back to Amsterdam and love made her stay.

From here she has continued her Ayurvedic studies, pre- and postnatal Yoga teacher trainings, a Yin Yoga training with Bernie Clark in Vancouver and a children's Yoga teacher training. She is happy to share the teachings she has learned over all these years. In her classes she hopes to inspire her students to connect with themselves to find balance and peace within.

Kasia Pokrop

KASIA POKROP

Yoga teacher, HypnoBirthing & Spinning Babies Childbirth Educator and a slave to two monkeys at home

Born and raised in Poland, Kasia left her home country in 2005. Starting her journey in Ireland, she continued to Belgium, Amsterdam, Singapore, and back to Amsterdam, where she found her new home. It was also here where her yoga journey began.

Daily practice of Ashtanga opened another world to Kasia. She became curious, wanted to learn more about the practice, where it is coming from and how she can share it with others. She joined workshops with Petri Räisänen, Ken the Rolfer, Edie Stern, David Swenson. She travelled to Rome to practice with Lino Miele, and when she was about to sign up for a teacher training to further deepen her knowledge about the practice, she got pregnant.

The interesting thing is, it didn't stop her from anything. Instead, it helped her grow, become more humble, appreciate more what you can do rather than seeing what you cannot do, and most of all - enjoy the time of her pregnancy. Something she decided she wants to share with others as well.

Following her mantra 'practice, practice, practice' she finalized 200Hr Teacher Training with Claudia Pradella and Eva Ugolini, followed by Pregnancy and Birth Teacher Training with Birthlight, and around the same time she certified as a HypnoBirthing® Practitioner, The Mongan Method.

Today she has a chance to share her passion for Ashtanga, and help women through pregnancy with prenatal classes, and HypnoBirthing® courses.

WHAT OTHERS SAY

‘Anne is an amazing yoga teacher and I love her classes. She really takes the time to help each person individually and the atmosphere is so relaxing. I recently went on a yoga retreat organized by Anne at the Tai Lai Longhouse in Cat Tien, Vietnam. The whole weekend was fantastic - I left feeling like a new person! Meditation and spiritual healing were new to me but I really enjoyed the sessions and learnt a lot. I'd love to do another yoga retreat with Anne and I highly recommend her classes.’

WHAT OTHERS SAY

I recently attended a Mamamoon yoga retreat and can highly recommend both the retreat and the yoga classes/workshops. Everything was wonderfully organized and setup for a weekend full of yoga, health, connecting (with yourself and others) and enjoyment.

Kasia, and others involved are great at what they do and I am fortunate to have experienced it!

Looking forward to attending future workshops and retreats!
