4TH TRIMESTER PLANNING: GATHER YOUR VILLAGE - CREATE SUPPORT NETWORK FOR YOUR BODY & MIND TO RECOVER AND THRIVE

1000 years ago we would be alo-parenting in communities, sharing tasks of parenthood and even milk. A mother would never be left alone with her new born and it is also not natural or healthy to be alone with a new born hour on end, daily.

If you speak to any parent you will hear how being around people and other parents also is so vital for a thriving family and parenting is made easier. It s because its natural for us. The world around us has changed greatly with technology and living in separate houses away from families but physiologically our needs have stay the same. In the blue zones study of the places with the most centenarian around the world, they found the number one reason why people live longer is because of a sense on purpose within community.

What you will learn during the workshop:

  • We will go through what is happening physiologically in the body and mind and why we are wired to have the support of the community around us in order to thrive as a family.

  • This is a class to empower with knowledge on how to gather community, find blocks, make lists and plans and surprise yourself with the support you could have and challenge yourselves to start asking for help before your baby comes along

  • This class will be informational and very practical. You will come away with lists and a plan. It is the start of bringing in you Village for your beautiful family.

WHAT OTHERS SAY

Amy has been an absolute rock for me after quite a traumatic birth that required a lot of processing and healing inside and out. Amy held space for me to cry at the beginning and all through my journey including through her online mothers circle which has been invaluable in starting me off on my journey into motherhood. Amy helped me to prepare for the postpartum period through cooking with me and talking to me about early motherhood and also sending food after my little girl was born. She has such a calming spirit and gives the best hugs if that is what you need! She doesn't preach or give you the answers but provides a listening ear and only gives advice if specifically asked for which I found really helpful. Thanks Amy, you really made the transition a lot smoother for me and helped me to focus on my little lady with her support and words of encouragement."

Amy was born to Polish/Serbian parents, grew up in UK and now living in Portugal where her daughter speak fluent Portuguese!

Amy studied Anthropology and did both of her final dissertations on subjects within motherhood, one on the sexualization's of breastfeeding and the other arguing the case that home birth is safer than hospital birth.

Now, Amy is a postpartum educator and coach for new time mothers navigating the transition into motherhood: Matrescence.

The postpartum time is an opportunity to set the stage for the next 40 years of a mother's life with the right kind of healing, support, bodywork and mindset, the transition which can often include growing pains can flow with a little more ease and with a lot more support.

Amy teaches Postpartum planning workshops where she goes into the 5 pillars as a foundation of knowledge that supports healing. She is also a Vaginal Steam facilitator and gives plans for labor prep and postpartum classes. She also hold yoni steam circles. Amy is trained with Rachelle Garcia Seliga of Innate Traditions where she learned the approach of modern science meets ancient traditional knowledge. She also trained with Julia Jones from New Born Mothers where she learnt the foundations of being a postpartum doula.

Amy thinks that motherhood is a gateway into the most powerful meaningful part of a woman (who wants to have children) life. She is passionate about spreading the knowledge of postpartum healing  and support all that is becoming in a newborn mother weather that be her 1st or 5th baby!

When a baby is born so is a mother.

"The most difficult part of birth is the first year afterwards. It is the year of travail – when the soul of a woman must birth the mother inside her. The emotional labor pains of becoming a mother are far greater than the physical pangs of birth; these are the growing surges of your heart as it pushes out selfishness and fear and makes room for sacrifice and love. It is a private and silent birth of the soul, but it is no less holy than the event of childbirth, perhaps it is even more sacred." -Joy Kusek
