Lisanne used to live in Amsterdam until the age of 28 with a nice home, good relationship and a career at a creative start-up. Due to a burn out she was forced to live her life differently, dedicated to feel at home in herself again, she took off on an inner journey for which she wanted to leave everything behind and travel around for awhile, eventually finding her home base in Portugal where she lives now already for 5 years.
Through the teachings of Yoga and Ayurveda, she realised there were a lot of emotions held and stored in her root and by giving her root more loving care and attention she started to feel more at ease, freeing her root from tension and stagnation. This curiosity naturally led her after her Yoga teacher training into Ayurveda and later Pre- and Postnatal Yoga and Pelvic Yoga. She loves the depth of the work with pregnant women and mothers, as it is such a powerful transformation to witness and support with lots of raw and pure emotions. She shares in a gentle and loving embrace the power of journeying into the root and understanding our pelvis on a deeper level.
Kasia met Lisanne through Anne - the two of them did postnatal yoga trainings together, and have stayed in contact ever since. In search for women who are passionate about supporting other women in their transformation towards motherhood, Anne immediately put Lisanne and Kasia in contact and it just felt right.

Every women’s pelvic is unique and rarely is completely in balance. A part of the pelvis can be tight and short, another side can be too loose. After giving birth we usually think about only strengthening and engaging again, but a huge part is also giving relaxation and length to the more tighter parts, and bringing balance by discovering which muscles need more strength. In this way the pelvis comes back to balance and all parts work synergistically with each other, engaging when they have to and relaxing when they can. Sometimes after giving birth the pelvic floor holds on to a traumatic experience, this can also create tightness.
These classes will help you to breathe more fully and deeply, improve your posture, understand your pelvis and sooth pelvic pain, lower back pain, bladder problems and all kinds of pelvic related problems, while giving synergy to your pelvic floor muscles and other muscles that support the pelvic floor. You will be guided with awareness exercises to self explore your pelvis by discovering the places where you hold tension and where you can feel a release happening. Within this relaxing state, you can learn your muscles how to engage when they have to and give more strength and support where your pelvis needs it.
